Life is Hard
Apparently getting up for breakfast, a diaper change and a few minutes of playing is just too much. This is how she spent most of Wednesday and Thursday morning - asleep. The good news is that this is how she has spent most of the last two nights. After a quick bottle at 2:30 AM, she goes right back to sleep. I know what you are all thinking and YES, I (Rob) got up to help.
Our sight seeing plans for Wednesday were quashed when none of the rental companies at LAX had an extra car. Not a single car to rent at LAX!?!? This is really a busy place though, there is not a single hotel room left around LAX either.
Evelyn had her first visitor. Becky and Mr. Taylor's son is starting USC in the fall and since they were here in the area, they stopped by to say hello.
Without a car, we were really ready to go somewhere so we rode the shuttle over to the airport for dinner and to see The Grandfather, Jeanna, and Aunt Abby off to Milwaukee for their late night flight. Then it was back to the hotel to get some much needed rest.
As I type, someone is waking up, and this is how happy she always looks when she is awake. Thank you for the comments, we LOVE reading them!

Glad to hear that Evelyn is sleeping through the night and by HERSELF! Fantastic!
Of all people that you would run into, Mr. Taylor - how is he?
1 more day!!!
Hugs
Evelyn is such a cute baby! I can't wait to see her on Friday! I love the picture of the three of you at the airport, you all look so happy and at peace. Our prayers have truly been answered! See you soon! Melissa
can she be any cuter? looks like she's jet-lagged. i bet you are ready to be back in missouri. she really was very quick to become one with her new parents! she looks totally at "home" with you two.
She is beautiful!
Wow ~ sleeping by herself...Way to go Miss Evelyn!
We can't wait to see her in person.
Congratulations! Everyone looks great and Evelyn looks very happy and easy going. Great job Rob with the bottle feeding, you look like a natural. Kristina, you will be a fantastic mother for Evelyn.
I agree with this "Life is Hard" title as it was hard to get to post on this blog. Google demands a lot from a person.
Congratulations!
Love, Steffanie and Bobbie
We can't wait to meet her.
We can tell how happy you all are by the smiles on your faces. Evelyn is a lucky little girl to have you for her parents; and you are a lucky set of parents to have her in your life now. Okay, I AM jealous of the sleep you are getting though...Andrew was 9 months old before I got more than 4 total hours of sleep per night! :) We will be praying for safe travels on your return trip.
